I Will Eat the Darkness in Your Heart

I Will Eat the Darkness in Your Heart

Wrapped snug in a magenta cloak, a small orange spirit stands between two worlds. On one side, yellow light fans out like a quiet sunrise; a thin gold halo rests above its head. On the other, deep purple gathers into shadow, and among the dark scribbles a promise is written in gold: I will eat all the darkness in your heart.

The creature’s green eyes are wide but calm, its smile almost shy. Soft sketches circle the page — a grinning apple, a rabbit in the gloom, tiny stars — as if the mind keeps doodling while the heart holds still. Heavy pencil strokes make the cloak feel warm and heavy, a shield you could borrow.

This drawing feels like a gentle guardian: not fighting the dark, not denying it, just offering to take it in and leave the light.
